Frequently Asked Questions
- What should I expect at my lash appointment?
- You should expect to be laying flat on your back for the duration of the appointment. You will also be keeping your eyes closed the entire time as the fumes from the glue can cause stinging and redness. Your lash tech will be placing an under eye pad and tape to hold your bottom lashes down so they don't get stuck. Your lash tech will be working all around your eyes with their hands. Hand placement is an important part of the lash application. It is common to fall asleep as there won't be much talking. Talking moves the muscles of your face which can cause your eye pad to move and slide making isolation difficult and can also cause discomfort and watering eyes.
- What should I do before my lash appointment?
- You should come to your appointment with clean, makeup free eyes. Your lash tech can perform an eye cleanse on a client, however, it will cut into the actual lash applying time. Clean lashes equals more lashes!!
- Do lash extensions hurt your natural lashes?
- No! The eyelash extensions should not harm your natural lashes. Your lash tech has the knowledge necessary to provide you with the safest lash extensions for your natural lash.
- How long do lash extensions last?
- Lash extensions last about two weeks. You will need to have fills every two weeks to keep them looking full.
- Can I get my lash extensions wet?
- You should not get your lash extensions wet for the first 24 hours following your appointment. After that, you can get them wet, but don't forget to brush them out!
- Why is a lash extensions appointment so long?
- Lash extensions are a long process. There is a lot to them. Your lash tech must evaluate, place under eye pads, prep, prime, and lash map. Then, they must take time to isolate one natural lash at a time to be able to place the extension. This is a long process but it is very important to take the time to isolate to be sure not to stick lashes together. Doing so may cause pain and could prematurely pull out any natural lashes that are stuck.
- How do I keep my lashes looking good?
- You should wash your lashes at least once a day!
